Bluff House

Our design emphasizes balancing spectacular Flatirons views to the southwest with solar control and cooling. Tall windows allow views in, while high ceilings on the west side and operable clerestory windows keep summer heat circulating out. Our strategy to meet the moderate budget was to create dramatic spaces with simple volumes and use unique details sparingly with maximum benefit.

The interiors provide large spaces to showcase great art pieces as well as unique alder shelving for smaller collected objects. The owners selected vibrant colors that accentuate the architecture and provide bold counterpoints to their art and artifact collection.
